Job summary

The JobsBoard is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its financial planning team in Wilmslow, Cheshire. This is a technical paraplanning role, with administration handled separately; you will provide research, analysis and high-quality suitability reports across a broad range of products and providers.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' Paraplanner experience, strong report-writing skills, and ideally the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning; hybrid working with two

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' Paraplanner experience.
• Strong experience producing full suitability reports.
• Experience across pensions, investments and retirement planning.
• Knowledge of inheritance tax planning and complex investments.
• Strong research, analytical and report-writing skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload with careful attention to detail.
• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Financial Advisers to undertake product and provider research.
• Identify appropriate and compliant solutions based on client circumstances.
• Prepare recommendation options and draft detailed suitability reports and proposals.
• Manage a high caseload of approximately 30 reports per month.
• Provide technical support across products, providers and funds.
• Work on complex cases including pension transfers and inheritance tax planning.
• Research and analyse complex investments, including bonds and trusts.
• Use financial planning software to analyse data and develop client solutions.
• Communicate directly with clients on behalf of Financial Advisers when required.
• Maintain up-to-date client records and follow internal processes.
• Support Head of Research & Paraplanning with process development.
• Maintain CPD and KPIs; stay updated with regulatory requirements.
