The Role:

To support the Partner and Financial Planners in informing and advising clients on financial strategies, plans, and products.

Key Requirements and Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of product research and analytical tools
  • Good team working and liaison skills to effectively handle tasks and support team members
  • Understanding of FCA regulations and guidelines related to financial services clients
  • Willingness to continually develop knowledge of products and related issues through internal and external learning
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to meet business needs
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • IT skills relevant to used computer packages, including detailed understanding and use of Enable (CRM tool)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in work
  • CII Diploma, with willingness to study and pass 2 exams annually until achieving CII Chartered Financial Planner status
Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing for client meetings, including financial analysis and data compilation, with support from Technical Assistants
  • Analyzing client data and preparing cash flow analyses
  • Researching products to support recommendations
  • Compiling financial planning recommendations and suitability reports
  • Supporting the Client Partner and Financial Planner
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Liaising with product providers and third parties
  • Managing client reviews and documentation
  • Preparing paperwork for client meetings
  • Assisting with technical reviews of services and products
  • Producing reports for complex cases
  • Checking pension contributions, including carry forward
  • Corresponding professionally with clients, providers, and third parties
  • Representing the business at meetings as required
  • Staying updated on market conditions and competitors
  • Attending Investment Committee meetings and taking minutes
  • Drafting financial plans and suitability letters for review and approval
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients
  • Promoting the business within professional and wider communities
