Technical Operator – Permanent Nights Salary £34,262 Location - Coalville (Bardon Hill)4 on 4 off – 6:00 PM to 6:00 AMInitial 6-week training on Days: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PMWe’re recruiting on behalf of a leading global manufacturer in the FMCG sector, looking for an experienced Technical Operator to join their night shift team at their modern facility in Coalville, Bardon Hill.This is a full-time, permanent role offering fantastic long-term career development and a supportive work environment.Duties

  • Operating bespoke machines and ensuring products meet quality standards.
  • Conducting preventative and reactive maintenance on automated production lines.
  • Refurbishing machine components and maintaining tools/workshop area.
  • Supporting production through technical fault-finding and issue resolution.
  • Collaborating with team members and external software support to optimise machine performance.
  • Contributing to a positive team culture and helping train new staff.

The Candidate

  • 1+ years’ experience in a Machine Technician or similar role.
  • Electrical/mechanical knowledge (pneumatics a plus).
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams/manuals.
  • Good communication, organisation and IT skills.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach with a keen eye for detail.
