Technical Operator
Salary: £32,000 (incl. shift premium) | Location: UK | Shifts: 2 days/2 nights/4 off, 12-hour shifts

My client who are specialists in organo-sulphur synthesis and high-pressure hydrogenation, are seeking an experienced Process Operative to join their team supporting global pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and specialty chemical markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate chemical processes including distillations, separations, transfers, and powder handling.
Use of vacuum systems, nitrogen, and control panels in both standard and GMP areas.
Monitor reactions and adapt to evolving production needs.
Shift Pattern:
5-shift system: 2 days / 2 nights / 4 off (12-hour shifts: 6am–6pm or 6pm–6am), including most weekends and bank holidays. An 18-day break every 8 weeks includes 1 day of training. One hour paid break per shift.
Requirements:
Previous experience in chemical manufacturing preferred.
Strong focus on health & safety, with knowledge of COSHH and risk assessments.
IOSH Working Safely and counterbalance forklift license desirable.
Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade C or above); Level 2 vocational qualification advantageous.
