Technical Operator

Stafford, ST16

Permanent GBP32,000 - GBP33,000 + shift allowance (if nights)

Day & Night Shifts Annualised hours (6 extra shifts/year)

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business in Stafford, seeking experienced and motivated Technical Operators to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical mindset and experience in a production or technical environment, who's looking to take the next step in a stable and rewarding role.

Shift Patterns Available:

Day Shift (Annual Salary GBP32,000 - GBP33,000):Week 1: Monday - Wednesday, 7am - 7pm

Week 2: Monday - Thursday, 7am - 7pm

Night Shift (Annual Salary GBP32,000 - GBP33,000 + GBP2,730 shift allowance):

• Week 1: Sunday - Wednesday, 7pm - 7am
• Week 2: Monday - Wednesday, 7pm - 7am

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate high-spec processing and packing equipment using recipe management systems
• Perform regular equipment start-up, shutdown and maintenance procedures
• Ensure all safety protocols (LOTO) and quality standards (HACCP, GMP) are upheld
• Complete and maintain production documentation including manufacturing and quality records
• Carry out autonomous maintenance activities including cleaning and inspections
• Diagnose equipment issues, understand mechanical structures, and address performance abnormalities
• Apply problem-solving techniques (e.g. RCA, 5 Whys) to identify root causes and improve processes
• Champion continuous improvement and maintain high performance in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to all health & safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards

• Previous experience in a similar technical or production-based role
• Strong awareness of safety, quality and manufacturing standards
• A hands-on individual with good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Reliable, self-motivated and committed to maintaining high standards
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong communication and adaptability in a changing environment

Desirable Attributes:

• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, or other food safety practices
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment
• A positive, forward-thinking attitude with a passion for continuous improvement
