Technical Operator – 6MFTC (X3)
Function: Supply Chain - Packaging | Location: Manchester | Salary: £34,312 p/a with shift allowance of £9,206 & benefits below
Contract: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Shift pattern: 4on 4off (2 Days On, 2 Nights On, 4 Off)

About the role

As the Technical Operator, you’ll approach the packaging line with a lean mindset and positive attitude. We need motivated self-starters who will take ownership of their area. Safety will be your number one priority – you will actively contribute to our Zero Accident Culture through leading by example and deliver high standards of cleanliness and reliability on our production plant. With an attention to detail, you will deliver First Time Right (FTR) on quality and process, and you will be a champion of our C.I.L.Ts (cleaning, inspection, lubrication and tightening) tasks.

You will work with capable team members and your shift manager; once settled you will help drive continuous improvement within your area through our Total Productive Management (TPM) programme, aligned with LEAN principles.

Helping millions of consumers enjoy our beers and ciders is a real team effort. As a Supply Chain colleague, you’ll be part of the largest function in HEINEKEN UK. Our packaging team focuses on keeping bottling, canning and other lines running smoothly and efficiently, ensuring machinery is reliable, well-maintained and safe, while driving improvements to increase site output.

Who we’re looking for

We’re seeking someone with experience in a production facility or automated manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Maths & English GCSEs
  • Good understanding of IT systems and Warehouse management tools such as SAP or CMM
  • Previous packaging experience is an advantage but not essential
  • Passion to learn
