Are you a tech-savvy operations leader with a passion for driving innovation through software and systems? We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to spearhead the transformation of our operational systems and lead our business through critical technology upgrades and integrations.

As Operations Manager, you’ll report directly to the Managing Director and lead daily business operations with a strong focus on software implementation, data migration, and systems integration. This is a pivotal role requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on execution, especially in adopting new technologies that will shape the future of our collections and recovery services.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of new software and technology, ensuring seamless systems integration and enhanced operational efficiency.
  • Own and manage data migration and portfolio onboarding, including campaign setup and testing.
  • Oversee internal and outsourced collection teams, ensuring performance meets KPIs and regulatory standards.
  • Produce and manage accurate client reporting, providing key insights and data analysis for strategic decisions.
  • Build and nurture relationships with external partners, including field agents, recovery agents, and legal support.
  • Drive business innovation by creating and improving operational processes and documentation.
  • Champion a culture of compliance, customer focus, and continuous improvement across the team.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven experience in an operations leadership role, ideally within an FCA-regulated environment.
  • Strong track record of software implementation, systems integration, and portfolio migration.
  • Comfortable with data-driven decision-making and producing performance analytics.
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills, with the ability to inspire and upskill others.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, customer care principles (including TCF and Consumer Duty), and debt recovery processes.
  • Proficiency in managing technology-based transformation projects.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, regulated business environment.
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.

In return we are offering:

  • Highly competitive salary up to £40,000 depending on skills and experience.
  • 35 hour working week Monday – Friday.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Discretionary bonus scheme.
  • Death in service – 4x annual salary.
  • Pension contributions 4% employer, 5% employee.
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Various wellbeing and Social events throughout the year.
