United Gas & Power Limited is seeking a Head of Technical Operations to provide senior leadership for Billing, Supply Point Administration, Revenue Protection, Siteworks, Settlement and Gas Shipping. The role shapes operating models, controls, and performance frameworks, reporting to the Operations & Compliance Director.

The role leads a small team and will drive improvements in accuracy, customer outcomes and regulatory compliance while developing the settlement function and ensuring effective

Qualifications

• Experience leading a technical/operational department with performance, controls and risk accountability.
• Ability to lead through managers or technical leads and set clear accountability.
• Experience in electricity or gas market operations and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior oversight of operating approach, priorities and performance for Technical Operations.
• Lead via Deputy Operations Manager to ensure standards and alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure billing accuracy, data integrity, and compliant market participation.
• Shape and build the settlement function, including structure and resourcing over time.
• Oversee governance, controls, reporting and escalation across each function.
• Maintain relationships with third-party providers and ensure service levels and contracts are in place.
