Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

Joining the Technical Operations team, you will be at the sharp end of deploying and supporting Anduril’s cutting-edge unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Collaborating closely with the Mission Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in the early stages of product life cycles, including live demonstrations, training, and customer deployments. As a Technical Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for mastering, maintaining, and operating a comprehensive suite of unmanned aircraft systems globally. A key part of your role will be leading cross-functional teams in challenging environments, often with limited support, to ensure mission success.

What You'll Do

  • Lead as Launcher Specialist/Crew Chief, overseeing event planning and execution, assembling aircraft and sub-systems, and mastering Ground Control Station software and ALTIUS Launcher Systems
  • Serve as Aircraft Operator/Instructor Operator, piloting aircraft through waypoint navigation and manual control, conducting mission planning, and supporting ground testing events
  • Collaborate with internal teams to plan and lead successful test events, conducting pre-flight briefings and post-flight debriefings
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the willingness to pivot to other functions as required by shifting organisational priorities or urgent mission needs

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in mechanical and technical tasks with a strong grasp of tools and electronics
  • Understanding of basic computer networking concepts
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and communication abilities
  • Ability to independently master and support complex technical systems in challenging environments
  • Substantial hands-on technical experience in field operations, manufacturing, or testing
  • Professional background in UAV operations, maintenance, or as a Crew Chief, with a comprehensive understanding of flight operations, aircraft systems, and sensors
  • Proven problem-solving skills at the intersection of hardware, software, and operations, with a focus on mission success
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams and external customers
  • Ability to perform data-driven root cause analysis on complex systems
  • Strong computer proficiency and documentation skills
  • Experience in training others on product and/or deployment operations
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including up to two-month deployments
  • Eligibility to obtain relevant aviation certifications and full medical clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain UK security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or a related discipline
  • Technical or associate degree in aerospace/UAS or a related field
  • Prior military or international contracting experience
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix OS and command-line tools
