Technical Operations Director

Location: Manchester (Hybrid working)

Salary: Up to £70,000 plus Company Car plus Excellent Benefits

Irwin and Colton have been engaged by an innovative Health, Safety and Environmental Consultancy to recruit a new Technical Operations Director. The role involves working alongside the board of directors, senior management, and wider business departments to drive strategic objectives and deliverables across their client base, while managing a team of 6 direct reports and leading 30+ technical consultants.

The company has been operating for over 20 years, providing services from HSE/specialist training to compliance consultancy within the built environment, including education, social housing, and commercial office spaces.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and enhancing the business strategy, creating a clear delivery roadmap to achieve the company's vision.
  • Overseeing project delivery for a range of clients, accurately assessing risks and strategies, such as asbestos and occupational hygiene risks.
  • Maintaining and developing strong client relationships to understand their requirements and create innovative solutions.
  • Developing and implementing strategies for client acquisition across diverse industries.
Skills and Experience
  • Multiple years' experience with asbestos and occupational hygiene delivery.
  • Proven environmental experience, ideally in consultancy.
  • Ideally qualified under BOHS and/or RSPH.
  • Proven management and leadership experience with excellent communication skills, engaging with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Good commercial acumen, financial understanding, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
