Job Introduction

Are you enthusiastic, customer-focused, and technically knowledgeable, with good communication skills? Could you deliver high-quality services to improve the condition of housing for our residents?

If so, we are looking for someone like you to join our team!

If we are a good fit for you, you will have the opportunity to work within a supportive team on a wide range of housing cases, from disrepair and HMO licensing to harassment and illegal eviction.

What will you be doing?
  • Responding to service requests and giving appropriate advice.
  • Carrying out a range of inspections and investigations and encouraging landlords to remedy defects.
  • Taking appropriate enforcement action where necessary.
  • Bringing HMOs up to standard and actively seeking out unlicensed HMOs.
About You

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

  • A relevant qualification or experience with property and a working knowledge of the legislation and regulations relating to housing standards.
  • The ability to deal with challenging situations using tact and discretion.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work without supervision, prioritise work to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written skills, with the ability to write schedules of work, summarise accurately and convey complex information.
