An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bristol City Council’s Planned Programmes Team as a Technical Officer within the expanding Installations Team. This is an excellent development opportunity within a fast-paced and dynamic service that delivers large-scale improvement programmes across the Council’s housing stock.
The Planned Programmes Team is responsible for delivering high-quality bathroom replacement programmes, gas heating installations and electrical heating installation projects. Our objective is to provide safe, secure and well-maintained homes that residents can be proud of.
As a Technical Officer, you will work closely with Planned Supervisors, Surveyors and Contractors to support the successful delivery of an expanding planned maintenance programme. The role will provide support across all three installation workstreams, responding flexibly to business needs and programme priorities.
You will be responsible for providing administrative and technical support, including booking surveys and installation appointments, maintaining project records, supporting compliance processes and assisting with invoice management. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
The role requires regular engagement with residents, contractors and internal stakeholders to coordinate activities, resolve issues and ensure successful project outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to develop your surveying, contract management and project delivery skills while contributing to the improvement of Bristol City Council’s housing stock.
