The Technical Marketing Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the execution of a comprehensive marketing plan, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time, within budget and in accordance with the established strategy. This role requires exceptional project management skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external agencies, to drive business growth.
Main Duties & Key Responsibilities:
- Execute marketing plans by coordinating with various teams and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, outlining key milestones and deadlines.
- Assign tasks to team members and external agencies, ensuring clear communication of expectations and timelines.
- Adapt plans as needed in response to last-minute changes or unforeseen circumstances, while maintaining project objectives and timelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and business development, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of marketing plans.
- Communicate project status updates regularly to key stakeholders, providing insights into progress, challenges, and potential solutions to keep projects on track.
- Identify and address any obstacles or delays in project execution, working proactively to keep projects on track.
- Assist in the development of marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, emails, infographics, website content, videos, and newsletters, ensuring alignment with the overall marketing strategy and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with external vendors or agencies as needed to support marketing objectives.
- Manage project budgets effectively, tracking expenses and ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess the success of marketing initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best marketing practices, continuously seeking opportunities to optimise processes and enhance performance.
Specific Skills & Experience:
- Degree qualified in a science or engineering-based subject.
- Familiarity with marketing principles and strategies, including digital marketing channels and tactics.
- Strong proofreading and copywriting abilities.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic and proactive work ethic.
- Thorough attention to detail.
- Experience of using metrics for reporting and performance purposes.
- A willingness to embrace new ideas and processes.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Remuneration & Reporting
- Salary up to £35,000 per annum based on skills and experience.
- Usual Copley staff benefits including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, competitive pension plan, lunch and a discretionary bonus scheme.
- Open to both full-time and part-time applications.
- Reporting to the Marketing Manager.
