Job Description

Job Purpose

We seek someone who can provide technical expertise and support for the continuing development of several BRCGS non-food related Global Standards including Packaging Materials and Consumer Products.

What You’ll Be Doing

BRCGS will suit you if you are passionate about packaging and the non-food sector and have the experience and vision to develop and revise standards.

The job holder will be pivotal in supporting the continuing development and implementation of our non-food Standards relating to packaging and consumer products. Be involved in enhancing and communicating the value of the brand, through webinars, participating in industry working groups and committees. Be a confident speaker able to deliver the BRCGS message succinctly. Have excellent communication skills in English language and writing skills. The role will ensure Standards, guidelines and supporting documents are maintained up to date, reflect current issues in the industry and to support development of training activities. All activities are to be delivered in a timely and accurate manner to instil confidence in the BRCGS brand. This includes review and updates of BRCGS Global Standard Packaging Materials, plus its supporting guidelines, as well as supporting Non Food Standards (Consumer Products and Ethical Trade). You will ensure their requirements are aligned, relevant and remain fit for purpose to support industry/supply chains.

Qualifications

You’ll Need:

We are looking for a technical expert who understands the packaging industry, has knowledge of the non-food industry and is committed to product safety and quality globally.

  • Degree in (Packaging) Materials, or related science.
  • Practical lead auditor experience and lead auditor training, such as BRCGS or ISO9000, with in-depth knowledge of audits and certification.
  • Have the curiosity and knowledge of our competitors, the auditing sector and the certification industry.
  • Ideally, practical experience in more than one of the BRCGS Standards and/or other GFSI or equivalent recognised standards.
