Job description

As we continue to develop our food manufacturing business through Myton Food Group, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Technical professional to join us at our Produce Manufacturing site at Gadbrook.

Our onsite technical teams play a key role in upholding our commitment to producing safe, high-quality foods that meet both customer expectations and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the produce sector, with a background in food manufacturing, process improvement, data analysis, technical troubleshooting, and food quality enhancements, all with a relentless focus on customer needs.

Working closely with and reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, the role will be responsible for:

1. Delivery of key site workstreams to ensure quality is prioritized
2. Identifying emerging risks and issues, leading the development of mitigation plans, and managing serious incident responses
3. Directing and controlling the site implementation of technical plans and budgets
4. Creating true cross-functional relationships that are aligned and transparent
5. Collaborating at a senior level across the site to develop new ideas and expand the business
6. Setting direction for the site Technical and Hygiene teams

In addition to strong leadership skills, you will also have:

• Commercial market knowledge of risk seasons and challenges
• Experience as a decision-maker for raw material selection and product quality across multiple categories
• Proven ability to audit suppliers
• Experience in creating strategic plans to maintain service during growing seasons
• The ability to use data to drive informed decision-making across multiple categories to influence future seasons
• A reputation for realizing potential through coaching and development at all levels
• Extensive experience in manufacturing and/or retail industries
