Job Description:

Role: Technical Manager (Contract - 12 months rolling)

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver all technical aspects of the projects.
  • Collaborate with Discipline Heads to determine technical resource needs.
  • Manage project resources and monitor costs.
  • Track and report on technical team progress.
  • Lead design reviews and participate in production meetings.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance in design, including completing risk assessments and adhering to CDM regulations.

Additional Responsibilities as a Principal Designer:

  • Deliver designs that meet project requirements, leveraging technological advancements.
  • Develop and embed standards, quality protocols, and collaborative working approaches.
  • Promote health and safety excellence through audits and documentation.
  • Coordinate technical planning with project managers and discipline heads.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across operations, construction, and commissioning.
  • Create an environment for team development and continuous improvement.

Skills, Experience, and Behaviors:

  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Engineering.
  • Experience in technical roles managing designs and multidisciplinary projects.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
