Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Technical Manager for a Dartford site to support the Head of Technical and uphold high standards across customers, suppliers, and the site.

You will drive customer specifications, supplier due diligence, and audit leadership while ensuring food safety, quality, and legality in a fast-paced environment. A strong focus on BRCGS and Red Tractor compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in fresh produce and supplier/customer compliance.
• HACCP Level 3 and GMPs knowledge.
• Knowledge of BRCGS standards and customer complaint management.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain product specifications and customer requirements.
• Maintain temporary specification trackers and customer platforms.
• Oversee supplier approvals and due diligence documentation.
• Investigate and resolve complaints and product rejections.
• Support QC operations in the absence of the Quality Manager.
• Conduct third-party packing facility visits as required.
• Approve labels for packed-at-source products.
• Liaise with at-source technical teams and travel when required.
• Conduct benchmarking and GAP analysis.
• Lead on-site HACCP activities and ensure compliance with GMPs and audit readiness.
• Host third-party audits (BRCGS, Red Tractor, LEAF).
• Maintain site policies and training records.
