Overview

Technical Manager - Food Manufacturing

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience)

Working pattern: Monday to Friday (Days)

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site's Technical and QA teams, including Quality Managers, Supervisors, and QA personnel.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the site's Quality Management System (QMS) and HACCP plans.
• Work closely with the Site Internal Auditor and Compliance Manager to ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met.
• Take the lead in customer quality improvements, acting as a key contact for technical queries and audits.
• Ensure all quality assurance procedures are adhered to across production and operational teams.
• Drive technical excellence across the site through training, auditing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Technical or Quality Manager role within food manufacturing is essential.
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, and quality management systems.
• Experienced in leading and developing cross-functional technical teams.
• Confident in managing external and customer audits.
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
