Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Northallerton is seeking a Technical Manager on a temporary basis. The role requires proven experience in a senior technical position within a UK residential housebuilder, delivering compliant developments.

You will manage multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants, coordinate drawings, monitor budgets and drive programmes, while ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and planning law.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.

• Identify and manage technical risks and ensure QA/compliance.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders; travel to sites as needed.

The successful candidate will bring proven experience in a Technical Manager or senior technical role within a UK residential housebuilder, applying strong knowledge of residential construction methods and technical design processes to deliver high‑quality, compliant developments. They will demonstrate a solid understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning legislation and statutory approvals, ensuring all technical aspects of projects meet required standards. They will manage multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants effectively, reviewing, interpreting and coordinating architectural and engineering drawings with precision and accuracy.

The successful candidate will apply strong project management, organisational and time‑management skills to drive programmes forward, communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining commercial awareness, managing technical budgets and identifying value‑engineering opportunities. They will proactively identify and manage technical risks, uphold rigorous quality assurance and compliance standards, and use strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities to resolve challenges. Leadership, teamwork and a customer‑focused approach will be essential, alongside a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
