Job summary

Major Homes Developer seeks an experienced Technical Director to lead the busy technical team in Hampshire. You will manage a large in-house planning & design team, including Town Planners, Architects, Technologists, Civil & Structural Engineers and Project Managers, ensuring design programmes and specifications stay on budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities include overseeing design development for standard house/apartment types, reviewing land viability, and reporting progress at management

Qualifications

• Senior technical professional with extensive experience in large-scale housing developments.
• Experience in pre-construction, planning, and architectural/engineering coordination.
• Proven ability to lead a multi-disciplinary in-house design team.

We are working with a Major homes developer with a national brand and an excellent reputation for delivery of high quality homes throughout the UK.

Due to internal restructuring, we are seeking an experienced Technical Director to take responsibility for the busy technical team based in Hampshire.

We are seeking An accomplished senior technical professional with considerable experience within some experience working with the large Developers. Proficient in all areas of the technical development process ranging from pre-construction and planning to Architectural and engineering coordination to site completion and operations, you will be responsible for managing a large in-house planning & design team consisting of Town Planners, Architects, Architectural Technologists, Civil & Structural Engineers and Project Managers.

With your team you will be responsible for establishing design programmes and specifications for each project in accordance with agreed budget parameters and monitoring during the build programme. Overseeing the development and production of a standard range of house and apartment types and standard details to meet all requirements. Additionally you will be Instructing and reviewing technical viabilities for all new land acquisitions, Attending management meetings on a weekly basis and attending Board Meetings on a bi-monthly basis to report on progress.
