About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Technical Manager – Water to join their Technical Risk team based in Falmer, with hybrid working available. This role reports to the Head of Technical Risk Management and is responsible for ensuring robust technical governance across major water infrastructure programmes, from early need definition through to delivery and construction support.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure solutions are affordable, technically sound, and risk is appropriately managed and communicated.
Foster collaborative relationships with clients, construction teams, and supply chain partners to drive efficiency and buildability.
Deliver sustainable, CDM-compliant design solutions aligned with programme governance.
Support personal and team development by participating in external industry groups and continuous learning.
Represent our client positively and maintain confidentiality at all times.
What Our Client is Looking For:
Degree in an engineering-related discipline
Experience in technical project delivery within a design-build environment
Water treatment industry expertise
Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary design teams
Strong risk and change management skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Chartered Engineer (or working towards)
Experience with joint ventures and offsite manufactured design solutions
