Job summary

ACS Staffing Solutions in Huntingdon and Biggleswade is seeking a hands-on Technical Manager to own technical matters across two sites. The role blends design, product development, manufacturing support, compliance and problem-solving to drive product and process improvements.

You will review drawings, support quotations, work with suppliers, ensure UK regulations and maintain technical documentation; a background in windows/doors or construction products is advantageous.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Acting as the technical point of contact for product, design, manufacturing and installation queries.

Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE

Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Technical Manager, Technical Engineer or Design Engineer with a background in manufacturing or construction products?

We’re recruiting for a growing manufacturer looking for a hands-on Technical Manager to take ownership of technical matters across two sites. This is a varied role combining technical design, product development, manufacturing support, compliance and problem-solving, with the opportunity to have a real influence on product and process improvements.

What you’ll be doing

• Acting as the technical point of contact for product, design, manufacturing and installation queries.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project requirements.

About you - You’ll ideally have:

• Experience as a Technical Manager, Technical Engineer, Design Engineer or in a similar technical position.
• A strong understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Experience using CAD or technical design software.
• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of product testing, certification or regulatory compliance.
• A practical, commercially aware approach.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work across Sales, Manufacturing, Operations and suppliers.
• A full UK driving licence and flexibility to work across Huntingdon and Biggleswade.

Experience within windows, doors, glazing, aluminium, fenestration or construction products would be highly advantageous, although candidates from other relevant manufacturing environments will also be considered.
