Job summary

ACS Staffing Solutions is seeking a hands-on Technical Manager to own technical matters across two sites, with responsibilities spanning design, product development, manufacturing support and compliance. Based around Huntingdon and Biggleswade, you will review drawings, produce technical documentation and guide complex quotations with Sales and Estimating.

You will drive product improvements, maintain regulatory compliance and work closely with suppliers, manufacturing and operations to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience as Technical Manager or similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Experience using CAD or technical design software.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of product testing, certification or regulatory compliance.
• Commercially aware approach.
• Strong communication across Sales, Manufacturing, Operations and suppliers.
• Full UK driving licence; willingness to work across Huntingdon and Biggleswade.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Technical Manager, Technical Engineer or Design Engineer with a background in manufacturing or construction products?

We're recruiting for a growing manufacturer looking for a hands‑on Technical Manager to take ownership of technical matters across two sites. This is a varied role combining technical design, product development, manufacturing support, compliance and problem‑solving, with the opportunity to have a real influence on product and process improvements.

What you'll be doing

• Acting as the technical point of contact for product, design, manufacturing and installation queries.

About you - You'll ideally have:

• Experience as a Technical Manager, Technical Engineer, Design Engineer or in a similar technical position.
• A strong understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Experience using CAD or technical design software.
• Strong technical problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of product testing, certification or regulatory compliance.
• A practical, commercially aware approach.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work across Sales, Manufacturing, Operations and suppliers.
• A full UK driving licence and flexibility to work across Huntingdon and Biggleswade.

Experience within windows, doors, glazing, aluminium, fenestration or construction products would be highly advantageous, although candidates from other relevant manufacturing environments will also be considered.
