Job summary

Tate Recruitment is hiring a Lead Technical Manager for a flour-focused manufacturing site in the Harlo w area. You will own food safety, quality management and regulatory compliance, leading the FSQMS, HACCP processes and cross-functional teams to drive best practice across production.

The role demands experience in food manufacturing, strong HACCP knowledge, and the ability to influence and develop technical teams to sustain high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as Technical Manager, Quality Manager or Senior Technical in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety systems.
• Experience with BRC, GMP and food industry compliance.
• Experience managing technical docs, supplier compliance and traceability.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to influence and engage production and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the Food Safety & Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure HACCP plans remain current and implemented across operations.
• Manage compliance with BRC, GMP, FEMAS and UK/EU regulations.
• Oversee records, traceability docs, and product quality controls.
• Manage supplier approvals, specs and accreditation documents.
• Conduct internal audits and drive corrective/preventive actions.
