Job description
Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to lead the technical delivery of the Euroleague contract. Working with the wider production team, you’ll be the point of contact for all things technical, while looking for ways to implement new technology within the production.

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the Executive Producer to advise and help implement new technology within the production.
  • Collaborate with Production Management on commercial, corporate and client deliverables.
  • Contribute to forward planning, idea generation and the ability to think creatively, inspire and coach teams to do the same.
  • Produce relevant technical documentation and drawings in advance of each match round.
  • Attend match rounds to ensure consistency and high-quality delivery.
  • Scope out efficiencies in workflows where suitable.
  • Attend recce visits where technical input is required.
  • Promote a progressive and positive culture within our teams, supporting the values of IMG.
  • Support Sustainability and D&I initiatives across the department.
  • Build an environment that drives performance and accountability.
  • Adapt to the use of new systems and technology where appropriate.
  • Elevate the quality of production for the Euroleague and recommend or implement new technology and enhancements to the World Feed broadcast.
  • Experience in technical planning of Outside Broadcast deliveries within Europe.
  • Experience as a Technical Producer using differing workflows (onsite, remote, etc.).
  • Understand broadcast technologies, including OB and remote workflows, as well as contribution networks.
  • Previous experience as an established Technical Lead on a range of events using different workflows.
  • Good understanding of TV technical and production techniques, including platform technologies.
  • Strong market knowledge with sound commercial skills aligned to editorial and commercial objectives.
  • Ability to deliver against challenging deadlines and facilitate change management.
  • Experience managing key client relationships at a senior level.
  • In-depth knowledge of production market trends, both in sport and non-sport.

Contract & Location

This is a permanent contract based in Stockley Park, Uxbridge. You will be required to work some weekends, unsocial hours, and travel may be required throughout the season.
