Job summary

Manucomm Recruitment Ltd seeks an experienced Technical Manager / Compliance Manager for a non-factory food broker in the Trowbridge area. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with UK regulatory and industry requirements, with responsibility for technical procedures, supplier approvals and quality management.

In this office-based role, you will lead a small team, manage NPD technical aspects, and liaise with suppliers and customers' technical teams. Commutable from Bath and surrounding towns.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Technical Manager, Quality Manager or Senior Technical role.
• Strong knowledge of BRC standards and audit management.
• HACCP qualification and practical implementation experience.
• Knowledge of UK food safety legislation including packaging and retailer standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• You will need to be highly organised and analytical with strong IT skills plus be an effective communicator.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager / Compliance Manager as part of the senior leadership team, who will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all UK regulatory, and industry requirements along with the desire to embrace the ever growing legislation changes.

They are a food broker that supplies leading food service customers and are working towards increasing their range in UK retail. Operating from small and friendly open plan office in Trowbridge the successful candidate will be working as part of the UK arm of a global group. They do not manufacture foods but work closely with their suppliers in Europe and Asia who are accredited with BRC or similar standards. They are passionate about food with an excellent reputation within the food industry for their very high standards around quality and assurance. Will be responsible for managing a team of 2.

Role:

It is a varied role in which you will need to manage your time and priorities. You will have accountability for all technical procedures and processes from specification and supplier approval through to ensuring quality management compliance. You will also have a key role in managing all technical aspects of new product development, liaising directly with suppliers, and customers technical teams.

Essential Requirements:
