My clients who are a leading player in the food production industry are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Technical Manager to oversee food safety and quality across their site. The Technical Manager will be responsible for leading food safety and quality processes across a busy food production site. The role involves making sure that all products are safe, high-quality, and meet both legal requirements and customer expectations. This is a practical, hands-on role with team management responsibilities, working closely with production to ensure high standards are maintained throughout.


Key Responsibilities for the Technical Manager


  • Ensure all food produced is safe and meets high quality standards.

  • Lead and support the QA and technical team, helping them perform at their best.

  • Make sure food safety systems comply with industry regulations, customer standards, and certifications (e.g., BRCGS).

  • Investigate and solve food safety or quality issues using data and root cause analysis.

  • Be the main point of contact for technical matters with customers-communicate clearly and professionally.

  • Support new product introductions by ensuring all safety and technical requirements are met.

  • Promote a strong food safety culture on site and assist with training.

  • Keep technical documents and quality systems audit-ready at all times.

  • Manage raw material approval and maintain good supplier relationships.
