Job summary

Finova in London is seeking a Senior Management Accountant for a 12-month FTC. You will own the month-end close, consolidations, and technical accounting areas while supporting tax and audit readiness. The role involves building repeatable processes and coaching a future permanent successor.

You will work with a small, hands-on finance team in a hybrid setup and report to the Financial Controller. The role suits a qualified accountant with strong IFRS knowledge and NetSuite experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with 3+ years post-qualification experience.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and ability to apply standards with audit-ready documentation.
• Comfortable with judgemental areas: goodwill, impairment, acquisition accounting and consolidation.
• Audits-facing experience with clean audit files.
• Ability to build documented repeatable processes for year-end close.

Responsibilities

• Own the management accounting month-end close – including balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts other than cash, payroll, and trade debtors and creditors.
• Consolidation and intercompany – intercompany matrix and group postings.
• Work with Financial Controller on technical judgements – impairment testing, acquisition accounting, consolidation.
• Put R&D capitalisation on proper footing – policy, computations and monthly reviews.
• Statutory accounts and audit – prepare financial statements and coordinate audit.
• Support the Financial Controller on tax – corporation tax and R&D tax credits.
• Debt and equity accounting – debt interest, dividends, share capital reconciliation.
• Improve the close – faster, documented processes and five-day close.
• Hand over properly – document work and coach successor.
