Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a Technical Lead (Scrum) in Hampshire. This role require leadership over SAFe teams, architectural design, and hands-on development across full-stack platforms.

You will drive coding standards, mentor engineers, and balance technical excellence with delivery pragmatism while communicating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• IT engineering and application architecture experience.
• Senior developer or technical lead guiding Agile/SAFe teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Cloud and/or agile certifications.

Responsibilities

• Translate SAFe features into scalable architectural designs and technical stories.
• Establish coding standards, conduct peer code reviews, and drive down technical debt.
• Collaborate with system architects to align dependencies across multiple Scrum teams.
• Provide technical mentorship to engineers and foster continuous learning.
• Explain complex architecture to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead and empower team members to take ownership.

Some roles may also be subject to nationality requirements where these are necessary to meet UK Government or contractual security obligation.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Design: Translate SAFe features and enablers into clean, scalable architectural designs and technical stories.Code Quality & Governance: Establish coding standards, conduct rigorous peer code reviews, and drive down technical debt.Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with system architects and other Tech Leads to align dependencies across multiple Scrum teams.Mentorship: Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.Deep expertise in full-stack software development, modern programming languages, and cloud-native patterns.Proven track record of designing and delivering secure, high-availability enterprise applications.Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and infrastructure-as-code.Pragmatic decision-making capability balancing technical perfection with delivery pragmatism.Clear communicator able to explain complex architecture to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.Inspiring leader who empowers team members to take ownership.What you'll bringProfessional Experience: IT engineering and application architecture experience, including experience in a senior developer or technical lead capacity guiding Agile/SAFe teams.Education & Foundational Benchmark: IT / Engineering NVQ Level 4, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.Professional Certifications: Professional developer or cloud architecture credential (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Developer Associate); Agile / SAFe certification (e.g. SAFe Practitioner / Agile Software Engineer); ITIL Foundation.At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
