Job summary

Taranis, a pioneering investor and project developer in the energy transition, seeks a Technical Lead – Nature-Based Solutions. You will steer technical assessment and delivery of high-integrity NBS projects, collaborating with internal finance, legal and ESG teams and external partners.

We value advanced degrees in engineering or environmental sciences, 7+ years in forestry/carbon/NBS, and strong MRV and AFOLU expertise. English fluency required; French a plus.

Qualifications

7+ years in technical forestry, carbon or NBS roles.
Experience with international carbon standards (VCS, Gold Standard).
Strong knowledge of AFOLU methodologies and MRV.
Experience with project validation and third-party certification.
Excellent communication across technical, commercial and stakeholder groups.
Fluency in English; French is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Lead technical evaluation and due diligence of NBS project opportunities across maturity stages.
Design, review and validate project design, baseline and carbon/ESG performance.
Coordinate field assessments and validation/verification with third-party auditors.
Contribute to NBS strategy and development of internal tools and standards.
Monitor emerging research and standards in carbon markets and related domains.
