Financial Times is seeking a Senior Technical Lead to shape the Marketing & Commercial Data technology landscape. You will steer architectural direction, ensure secure, scalable systems and mentor engineers across cross‑functional teams.

You’ll work with Product, Programme and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. You will partner with Engineering Manager and Principal Engineers to evolve the platform towards Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, Data 360,

Qualifications

Senior software engineer with strong technical leadership and architectural judgment.
Experience shaping architecture and making key technical decisions across platforms.
Ability to mentor engineers and foster engineering culture.

Responsibilities

Provide technical direction and engineering integrity for Marketing & Commercial Data capability.
Lead architectural thinking and key decisions balancing security, resilience, and scalability.
Mentor engineers and promote strong engineering practices (testing, observability, security).
Collaborate with product, data and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical approaches.
