Technical Lead, Food Manufacturing

Location: Bedfordshire

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

This Quality Lead role is at the same level as the Site Manager, meaning technical is on par with operations – you will all be working towards the same goals.

This global food business partners with leading manufacturers and main retailers to provide innovation-led, exciting food products. There are ample opportunities to develop and grow your career in the UK or internationally.

As their Quality Manager, you’ll play a key role in promoting food safety culture across the factory. As a vital member of the technical and quality team and the lead technical figure for this site, you’ll proactively manage relationships with customer technical counterparts. Your confidence and skills will extend to assisting with customer audits and visits, working closely with the Operations team to ensure quality systems and procedures are followed across the site.

We are seeking candidates with experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. A practical understanding of retailer codes of practice and quality standards will help ensure the site maintains its BRC AA accreditation.

This role is diverse and broad, including responsibility for the laboratory team. You will work both in the factory and the laboratory, alongside a Quality Technologist reporting to you.
