Location: Flower & White, Telford

Shift: Monday - Friday

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to join the team at Flower & White, part of the Finsbury Food Group.

At Flower & White, we're on a mission to add a little more happiness to people's lives through our delicious range of better-for-you treats. From our award-winning Meringue Bars to our growing range of innovative snacks, we create products that customers can enjoy and feel good about. We're proud of the products we make, but even prouder of the people behind them. Creating great products is what we do. Building a culture where people can thrive, develop and make a genuine difference is who we are. As we continue our exciting growth journey, we're looking for talented people who share our passion for quality, sustainability and bringing a little more happiness to everyday life. That's what makes Flower & White an exciting place to build your career.

The Technical Manager plays a critical role in supporting the growth and success of Flower & White. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys being part of the operation, building strong relationships across departments, and turning technical knowledge into practical solutions. You'll be responsible for maintaining and developing our food safety, quality and compliance systems, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and happiness throughout the business.

This is what you'll actually do!

You will lead the day-to-day management of the Technical function, ensuring the safety, quality, legality and authenticity of all products manufactured and sold by Flower & White.

Working closely with teams across the business, you'll maintain our BRCGS certification, ensure compliance with relevant food legislation and customer requirements, and provide expert technical guidance to support operational excellence.

You'll act as the lead contact for customer, regulatory and third-party audits, confidently managing site audits while building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and external partners. A key part of the role will involve maintaining and developing our HACCP systems, reviewing technical performance, analysing trends, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

You'll oversee supplier approval processes, manage specifications across all brands and retail customers, support new product development and factory trials, and ensure customer complaints are investigated thoroughly with appropriate corrective actions implemented.

Most importantly, you'll be visible within the operation, collaborating with colleagues across departments, championing food safety culture and helping to create an environment where people feel supported, valued and empowered to succeed.

This role requires someone who can build strong cross-departmental relationships and contribute to a harmonious culture throughout Flower & White, with happiness at the forefront of everything we do.

Ideally this is you!

  • Experience gained within a technical role in a food manufacturing environment, ideally with additional experience in a Quality, NPD or Process Management role.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety systems, BRCGS standards and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting customer, retailer and third-party audits.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build relationships and challenge constructively where required.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer requirements and business needs.
  • A hands-on approach with a genuine interest in understanding manufacturing operations and supporting teams on the factory floor.
  • Has a passion for excellence and a genuine desire to learn, develop and drive continuous improvement.
  • Friendly, approachable and collaborative, with a positive can-do attitude and the ambition to grow alongside the business.
  • Ideally based within commuting distance of the site, or willing to relocate.

At Flower & White, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We're proud of the open, collaborative culture we've built, where departments work closely together, everyone's voice matters and support is never far away. We retain an entrepreneurial spirit that gives our people the freedom to challenge, innovate and drive improvements, while providing the support needed to succeed. As we continue to grow, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your experience, develop your skills and make a genuine impact on the future of the business. If you're looking for a hands-on Technical Manager role where culture matters as much as compliance, we'd love to hear from you.
