Job summary

Peaple Talent is partnering with a growing SaaS business that’s building an innovative product using behavioural science for consumer brands. They seek a hands-on Technical Lead to own the technology, shape the engineering function and build a team.

In Bristol with hybrid working, you’ll stay hands-on while guiding technical direction, engineering standards and team development across Python, AWS, Linux and APIs, mentoring engineers and helping grow the team as the business scales.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Python.
• Experience as Tech Lead or Senior Engineer with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong Linux experience.
• Web app development using FastAPI, Django or Flask.
• Good knowledge of AWS.
• Solid understanding of software development, testing and DevOps practices.
• Experience mentoring engineers.
• Ability to balance hands-on coding with leadership and team duties.

Technical Lead | Hybrid – Bristol | £80,000 – £100,000

Peaple Talent is partnering with a growing SaaS business that’s developing an innovative product bringing behavioural science to consumer brands. As the business continues to scale, they’re looking for a hands‑on Technical Lead to take ownership of the technology, help shape the engineering function and build a team around them.

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Python Developer or existing Tech Lead who wants to stay hands‑on while taking greater ownership of technical direction, engineering standards and team development. You’ll be working across Python, APIs, AWS, Linux, databases and automation, whilst mentoring existing developers and helping grow the team through future hiring.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being close to the technology but is equally motivated by developing people, making good technical decisions and creating a strong engineering culture.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong commercial experience with Python
• Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Senior Engineer with leadership responsibilities
• Strong Linux experience
• Experience building web applications using FastAPI, Django, Flask or similar
• Good knowledge of AWS
• Strong understanding of software development, testing and DevOps best practices
• Experience mentoring and developing other engineers
• The ability to balance hands‑on development with technical leadership and team responsibilities
