A water utility company is looking for a Technical Training Delivery Lead for Wastewater. This remote role involves delivering training programs to enhance operational skills and compliance with regulations. It is essential for you to have a full driving licence as the role requires frequent site visits across Kent, Sussex and Hampshire.
The Technical Lead, known internally as the Technical Training Delivery Lead for Wastewater, is responsible for delivering operational technical training programs aimed at improving the skills and capabilities of operational teams.
The successor will create and deliver function-specific learning solutions to demonstrate to regulators that teams are trained and competent to a minimum requirement.
Day-to-day responsibilities include face-to-face practical and classroom training delivery, updating learning systems and reports, standardising training content, conducting assessments, and providing 1:1 technical coaching.
Through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, the Technical Training Delivery Lead will coordinate expertise into suitable training solutions, ensuring that Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) are embedded in session delivery models.
The role requires an enthusiastic and engaging individual who is an effective communicator with a passion for sharing and embedding knowledge.
This role will require undertaking a qualification that provides an Assessor Award.
To be successful, you should have:
An understanding of the wastewater environment and key equipment/processes
Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting wastewater
Understanding of health and safety principles and risk assessment in real-world situations
Strong prioritisation and expectation management skills
Effective and adaptable communication skills
The ability to deliver complex information accessibly to different individuals
Ability to work collaboratively and build peer relations at all levels
A desire to learn and to facilitate learning in others
Ability to manage a cohort of adult learners
Effective coaching skills (1:1 and group)
