Leo Recruitment Limited is assisting in recruiting a Technical Lead / Software Development Manager for a full-time, permanent role in the East Kilbride area. The position offers hybrid working with one day remote per week and a salary up to £80,000 plus benefits.

The successful candidate will stay hands-on while shaping architecture, standards and best practices, mentoring developers and driving delivery across cloud-native software platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Java/JavaScript/TypeScript development.
• Hands-on with modern web apps (React, Next.js) and cloud-native architectures.
• Good understanding of AWS, IaC, CI/CD and modern engineering practices.
• Experience leading technical decisions, mentoring developers and influencing engineering best practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable cloud-native software solutions.

Technical Lead / Software Development Manager – Full-time, Permanent

Location: East Kilbride, Scotland (hybrid working)

Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum DOE + Benefits

What You’ll Bring:

We're looking for an experienced Technical Lead, Lead Software Engineer or Senior Full Stack Developer who enjoys solving complex technical problems while helping others succeed through strategic and supportive leadership.

• Strong commercial experience developing software with Java, JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Experience building modern web applications using React, Next.js and cloud-native architectures
• A good understanding of AWS, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and modern engineering practices
• Experience designing secure, scalable and resilient enterprise software solutions
• Previous experience leading technical decisions, mentoring developers and influencing engineering best practice
• The confidence to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
