Job summary

The Liverpool-based organization is seeking a Technical IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale platform implementation within a complex IT landscape. This hybrid role requires on-site work in central Liverpool two days per week and close collaboration with a multi-disciplinary IT and business team.

You will oversee system and data integration efforts, manage stakeholders, track progress against plans, budgets, and risks, and apply both agile and waterfall methodologies to deliver a high-impact

Qualifications

• Evidence of understanding systems, architectures, integrations and APIs.
• Experience delivering a similar large-scale implementation in a complex environment.
• Experience with data integration platforms such as Talend or similar.
• Degree, or equivalent qualification, or qualified by experience.
• PM certification (PMP, APM, or Prince2 Practitioner) required.
• Experience delivering high-budget technology projects.
• Familiarity with agile and waterfall project management methodologies and tools.

Technical IT Project Manager – Platform Implementation

Liverpool / Hybrid working

We are working with one of Liverpool’s most iconic institutions, one of the largest local employers as they look to recruit a Technical IT Project Manager to work with them on a large-scale implementation project.

This is to work as part of a dedicated team implementing a Data Integration platform that will have a far-reaching impact across their complex systems landscape.

This is part of a wider Digital Strategy that is being adopted.

This is an initial 2-year fixed term appointment, but you will qualify for the same benefits as permanent staff employed which include 21.5% contributory pension, 36 days paid leave (plus bank holidays) and a raft of others

Key skills, experience and qualifications required:

• You will be able to evidence an understanding of systems, architectural layers, integrations and API’s
• You will have experience of having worked on a similar implementation project in a large-scale complex environment
• Experience of Data Integration platforms - Talend or similar, would be highly beneficial
• You will hold a degree, equivalent qualification, or be qualified by experience
• PMP, APM or Prince 2 certified (Practitioner Level)
• Experience of delivering high-budget complex large scale technology focused projects is essential
• You will have experience of project management methodologies, tools and project management techniques
• Experience of working in both agile and waterfall

This is a hybrid role with a requirement to be onsite in central Liverpool 2 days a week, and so you must currently live within a commutable distance of central Liverpool to be considered.
