Role and Responsibilities

CAE, the worldwide leader in aviation training, is seeking a Maintenance Technical Instructor to join our Business Aviation Maintenance Training Team. If you are a Maintenance Technician with experience servicing the Global 7500/6000/5000 and are ready to take your career to a new level by becoming an instructor, this role could be for you!

The Maintenance Technical Instructor works as part of a team dedicated to providing aircraft technical training on products manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace. Use extensive aviation maintenance experience, technical training experience, and varied computer skills (text & graphics) to develop, deliver, and maintain state-of-the-art multimedia and computer-assisted courseware packages. This position is customer-facing and focuses on identifying and supporting customer needs and requests. It involves providing training at various locations and managing a broad range of issues autonomously. The instructor delivers aircraft system training using various instructional aids, including multimedia presentations (videos, slides, PowerPoint), aircraft components, and simulators.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5-7 years of related work experience in aviation maintenance on the Global 7500/6000/5000
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of mechanical aircraft systems related to the area of responsibility
  • Instructional experience is an asset
  • Ability to resolve customer instructional issues autonomously
  • Proficiency in computer software (Windows 2000 Suite, PowerPoint, MS Word), with the ability to revise and deliver training materials and presentations

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • EASA B1/B2, UK CAA B1/B2, B1 or equivalent license preferred
