Job Description

This is a new and highly technical role - We require an experienced Audio Visual professional to work on high-end events within a prestigious Hotel/Live event venue. Responsible for supporting the Technical Events Manager with all audio visual services duties in the assigned location. Acts as a liaison between the Operations and Sales teams. Maintains a profitable location while controlling costs and achieving the overall goals of the organisation. This role reports to the Technical Event Manager, Cluster TEM, or Area Manager.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years of audio visual experience
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of audio visual equipment in a live show environment
  • Experience handling pre-planning and operations of large audio visual events
  • Proficiency with computer hardware and software, including the Internet and Microsoft Office
  • Effective leadership abilities and customer satisfaction focus

Operations Management

  • Directs the operations team on daily equipment setups and strikes.
  • Ensures appropriate business levels by scheduling staff and delegating tasks.
  • Mentors and supervises operational staff to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Establishes good relationships with hotel/venue staff, executives, vendors.
  • Coordinates invoicing activities and ensures accuracy.
  • Attends operational venue meetings as needed.
  • Promotes a safe working environment and ensures HSE guidelines are followed.

Asset Management

  • Maintains inventory control procedures, manages on-site equipment, sources internal gear.
  • Ensures timely delivery and proper functioning of equipment.
  • Keeps inventory in good condition and researches new technology.

People Development

  • Maintains positive employee relations.
  • Supports staff growth and organisational goals.
  • Provides coaching, manages HR activities, and ensures professional standards.
  • Supports training programmes and recommends development opportunities.
