SSR Contract & Technical in Kent is seeking a Technical Engineering Manager to lead all fire alarm installation and commissioning activities from order to practical completion.

You will act as the technical authority for fire installations, manage the engineering team, and collaborate with estimators and designers to protect margins and drive project profitability, with some hybrid flexibility.

Qualifications

• From the fire alarm industry with BS 5839 and BAFE standards understanding.
• Proven record in project delivery and fire alarm engineering expertise.
• Commercial awareness and excellent communication skills are essential.
• Good IT skills and awareness of HR and H&S practices are required.
• Full driving licence is essential.

This leading fire and security systems installer based in Kent are looking to recruit a Technical Engineering Manager for everything fire alarm related within the business, this is a new role that will manage and oversee all installation and commissioning works, from order to acceptance/design to practical completion. The successful applicant will be accountable for the management and operational delivery of all fire related works and will be the technical authority for fire installations and commissioning, providing technical support and leading the engineering team. Working with the estimation and design team to ensure work is designed and costed correctly so margins are met, with a view to maximising profits of all projects.

Candidates will need to be form the fire alarm industry, have a full understanding of BS 5839 and BAFE standards, a proven record in project delivery, a high level of fire alarm engineering expertise, commercial awareness, excellent communication skills and IT skills, HR and H&S awareness and a full driving licence.

This excellent opportunity comes with a basic salary of £65,000, car, bonus and package, working for a well-regarded industry installer. This is a predominantly office-based role with scope for some hybrid working
