Job summary

JRL Group in Borehamwood seeks a Technical Drafter with strong Revit and 3D modelling skills to produce and check drawings and kit lists for concrete frame projects. You will read engineers drawings, maintain communication with design teams, and support project coordination on site and yard activities.

You will assist in document control, manage submission dates, and help train other drafters as the team grows. Fluent English and strong organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in 3D modelling is essential.
• Fluent English language skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Production and checking of drawings/kit lists.
• Calloffs/kit lists based on working designs.
• Develop a working knowledge of equipment across sites.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of drawings to meet project requirements.
• Assist management of internal and external design teams.
• Provide training for new and existing drafters where required.
• Liaise with sites and project personnel to resolve issues and manage submission dates.
• Assist in document control and site/yards interactions.

We are looking to recruit a Technical drafter based in Borehamwood.

The Role:

• Temporary works design drafter:
  • Production & Checking of Drawings/Kit lists.
  • Calloffs/Kit lists based on working designs.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the equipment JRL owns and uses across our sites.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of drawings to comply with project requirements.
• Design Team
  • Assisting with Management of Internal & external design teams with the aim of meeting the ongoing project requirements.
  • Assist in training for new & existing drafters where required.
• Project Management.
  • Liaising with our Sites, Project Personnel & Formwork Yard to resolves problems as they arise.
  • Management of submission dates in line with project developments.
  • Assist in Document controlling
• Site / Yard/ Fabrication Interactions.
  • Occasional Live site & yard visits for Training, Inspection or Planning purposes.
  • Visits to determine feasibility of schemes or installation details.
  • In person checking of fabrication work as and when required.
