Role Description:

Our New Mobility solution changes the way we move people and goods by land and air to deliver outcomes that are environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable. Our portfolio includes strategy, business case, planning, design, and implementation of projects across Mobility on Demand (mobility hubs, Mobility as a Service, autonomous vehicles, etc.); E-Mobility (electric and alternative fuel vehicles, etc.); Sustainable and Active Mobility (travel demand management, sustainable travel, etc.); and Airport Hubs (advanced air mobility, airport e-mobility, etc.).

The New Mobility Technical Director will support building the Arcadis brand in the New Mobility space, win and deliver high-quality work, achieve high client satisfaction, and support capability and capacity development to meet market needs. The role includes a stretch target of 5X organic growth of New Mobility over the next five years and is based in the UK.

Key Accountabilities

Service delivery - Create an environment for consistent high-quality service; evolve usage of international excellence centres, digitised and standardised service delivery to enable better commercial performance; manage projects and key accounts.

Growth - Create the market, bid, and win new work and repeat business; support bid and marketing collateral development; be a market-facing lead for New Mobility; build strong client relationships; support brand recognition for Arcadis in the New Mobility space.

Capability Development - Identify long-term skills and capabilities requirements for New Mobility; ensure learning, development, and recruitment are aligned to build capability that meets long-term client needs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Leadership - Experience in leading a rapidly growing business within a multinational engineering or professional services firm; ability to inspire geographically dispersed teams around a common vision, objectives, processes, procedures, systems, and tools.
• Track record - Proven success in delivering high-quality technology-enabled services and building a recognized personal brand in the UK & I New Mobility market; experience in delivering major projects demonstrating commercial drive and decisiveness.
• Personal attributes - High intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility; pragmatic attitude; strong observation and persuasion skills; ability to communicate complex issues clearly; excellent time management and multitasking skills.
