TECHNICAL / PROJECT PRINCIPAL – BUILDINGS HEALTHCARE – MEP HEALTHCARE

Your role will be to support the Buildings Health division sector technical team in expanding healthcare work in the UK and Europe.

We seek a candidate who will provide healthcare sector business development and technical delivery leadership, supporting built environment healthcare projects. Responsibilities include bid activity, client relationship building, and thought leadership on site decarbonisation, system replacement, MMC/DfMA design solutions, structural adaptation, etc. The candidate should be self-motivated, capable of delivering high-quality technical advisory services with minimal supervision within time and budget constraints. The role supports the Healthcare sector team, known for successful work winning and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of assigned healthcare sector projects.
• Support project delivery teams on technical aspects, developing and mentoring staff.
• Collaborate with engineering disciplines during bidding and delivery.
• Engage with clients on technical matters.
• Assist senior managers with commercial and contractual aspects of projects.

As a Director level engineer, you will handle a range of projects, potentially managing several and leading work of others. The role involves technical advisory commissions with a focus on MEP and structural engineering design. It offers opportunities for skill and career development.

Responsibilities include managing project delivery, liaising with stakeholders, ensuring client satisfaction, and pursuing new opportunities. Familiarity with industry software (e.g., IES, Revit, ADB Codebook, Drofus) is required. You will develop project schedules, monitor budgets, and communicate effectively with clients. Demonstrating technical expertise and coaching less experienced team members is essential.
