Euro Projects Recruitment Ltd. is assisting a specialist engineering and mechanical manufacturing business near Bicester, Oxfordshire, to appoint a Technical Director who will lead the technical function and shape the company’s future direction.

The role demands a hands-on, credible leader who can build a department, raise standards and influence the senior team to deliver sustained technical excellence across R&D, NPI, quality engineering and laboratory activities.

Formación

• Experience leading a technical, engineering, quality or manufacturing-related function.
• Ability to build a department, establish clear responsibilities and develop a team.
• A strong focus on quality, product compliance, standards and process discipline.
• Experience improving processes, investigating root causes and implementing lasting solutions.
• Understanding of NPI, process development, R&D or applications engineering.
• Ability to translate specialist knowledge into documented processes, standards and training.

Responsabilidades

• Build and lead a dedicated Technical Department to bring structure, accountability and consistency.
• Shape technical strategy, standards and process improvement across the business.
• Ensure product compliance, quality and effective root-cause analysis.
• Oversee NPI, applications engineering and new customer projects.
• Drive R&D, innovation and process development initiatives.
• Document and embed technical knowledge across the organisation.
• Manage Capex and other technical improvement projects with rigorous governance.
• Provide technical reporting and uphold business-wide standards.
• Ensure technical capability translates into customer value and supports commercial aims.
