A little more about your role…

As the Technical Director, you will lead a specialist team within WSP's Civil Engineering discipline. To be successful, you will have extensive experience in the nuclear industry, including new build projects, and will play a key role in delivering high-quality design and safety solutions. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Operational Leadership: Manage and direct a division of cross-functional engineering teams, ensuring high performance and quality deliverables.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for the team.
• Engineering Management: Oversee multi-disciplinary engineering projects, ensuring adherence to technical and safety standards.
• Nuclear Projects: Work on SMR and GW scale new build nuclear projects and other nuclear initiatives.
• Sector & Client Development: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining and developing strong relationships to secure new business.
• Commercial/Financial Management: Manage financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, cost estimation, and negotiations.
• Project Delivery: Supervise the completion of detailed designs and safety cases, ensuring all project deliverables meet client expectations.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow WSP's Civil Engineering division.
• Change Management: Implement strategies to improve project outcomes and team efficiency.
