The Opportunity

We are exclusively recruiting for a Technical Director, a critical leadership role within our UK operations. Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership
   • Define and communicate the organization's technical vision and strategy.
   • Align technical objectives with overall business goals in collaboration with executive leadership.
   • Identify and integrate emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.
   • Lead technical investments, resource planning, and risk management.
2. Technical Excellence
   • Establish and oversee robust technical standards and best practices.
   • Ensure the consistent delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions across operations.
   • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and creativity.
   • Stay ahead of technological advancements to inform and enhance operational strategies.
3. Team Management
   • Build and lead a high-performing technical team, including Factory Technical Manager and Customer Technical Manager.
   • Define clear goals, roles, and performance expectations for team members.
   • Develop and mentor talent, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
   • Drive knowledge sharing and communication across departments.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
   • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and seamless delivery of technical initiatives.
   • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with clients, partners, and vendors.
   • Represent the organization at technical discussions, industry events, and conferences.
5. Risk Management & Compliance
   • Manage technical risks, ensuring data security, compliance, and system integrity.
   • Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks and industry standards.

• Extensive experience in a senior technical leadership role, ideally within the food, fresh produce, or FMCG sectors.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
