Amentum is recruiting a Technology Development Advisor for the SIXEP Waste Management Treatment Facility project, based in Birchwood, Warrington. You will liaise with internal teams and external contractors to shape the technology development strategy and deliver detailed technical documentation.

Role involves supporting testing at facilities, reviewing deliverables, and contributing to design reviews and HAZOPs within a highly regulated environment.

Qualificações

• Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
• Experience in an R&D environment.
• Knowledge of Process/HSE issues and regulations (DSEAR, CDM, COMAH).
• Ability to work within process, mechanical and technical multi-discipline teams.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry.

Responsabilidades

• Liaising with internal team members to understand SWMTF technology development requirements.
• Engaging with external R&D contractors to understand testing capabilities.
• Producing technical documents and reports for trials and studies.
• Creating test matrices to collect adequate technical data.
• Contributing to SWMTF's technical development strategy documents.
• Supporting testing activities at various facilities for PPP as the Client.
• Reviewing technical deliverables including method statements, HAZOPs, drawings and test reports.

The Opportunity

Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. The Role

The Role: amentum currently have an opportunity for a Technology Development Advisor to join the SIXEP Waste Management Treatment Facility (SWMTF) project, based in Birchwood, Warrington. SWMTF is a pipeline project approaching the Appraise and Select phase. It is scheduled to be built and commissioned in the early 2040s and is expected to treat various waste streams from the Sellafield SIXEP and SCP plants for several decades once operational.

• Liaising with internal team members to gain a detailed understanding of SWMTF’s technology development requirements.
• Liaising with external R&D contractors to understand their testing and development capabilities.
• Defining and producing technical documents and reports for physical trials and desktop studies.
• Defining and producing test matrices for the collection of adequate technical data.
• Contributing towards internal documents as part of SWMTF’s technical development strategy.
• Supporting testing activities where required at various test facilities on behalf of PPP as the Client.
• Reviewing technical deliverables, including method statements, HAZOP outputs, drawings and test reports.
• This may involve organising and collating the review output of other disciplines.
• Providing technical information to management and commercial stakeholders, as required.
• Attending and contributing to design reviews and HAZOPs.

• Degree qualified in Chemical, Mechanical, Process Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience working within an R&D environment.
• A knowledge of Process or Mechanical Design Health, Safety and Environmental (DHSE) issues and knowledge of key regulations (e.g. DSEAR, CDM, COMAH).
• Ability to work within process, mechanical and technical multi-discipline teams.
• Experience working within a highly regulated Industry
