Role: Technical Delivery Manager

Location: Leeds, hybrid

Salary: DOE, plus extensive benefits

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 9:00 to 17:30

As an Infrastructure Delivery Manager, you will lead and deliver key infrastructure projects and business-enabling initiatives. This role involves developing and managing a comprehensive roadmap to enhance the P2U infrastructure across all sites and countries. The successful candidate will create and adhere to strategic delivery plans and work closely with service operations to execute projects as part of the service improvement roadmap.

What you’ll be doing?

  • Design and plan the initiation of the projects, ensuring the scope is captured documented and communicated to the team members and key stakeholders;
  • Design, plan, coordinate and lead the Technical Work Stream and assigned team to deliver according to success factors and set goals
  • Handle the day-to-day management of the project including executive reporting, risk & issue management, resourcing, critical issues, and engagement with internal and external partners
  • Work in partnership with stakeholders to ensure communications are relevant and effective
  • Drive and support ongoing compliance to IT standards across delivered infrastructure services
  • Manage and track budget, provide an ongoing challenge around scope and submit changes to the budget authorisation process as required
  • Identify and source the required resources, either external or internal, as well as monitoring and managing their performance throughout the project, providing corrective supervision if necessary
  • Protecting the business experience through strong change management discipline and adherence to security standards;
  • Ensuring adherence to the company’s governance frameworks for change apply across all the project
  • Understand high-level technical architecture and be able to facilitate debate and drive decisions on appropriate solutions;
  • Be responsible for the project administration and the production of project documentation, e.g. project plans
  • Track progress against milestones, deadlines and budget
  • Anticipate, manage and resolve issues and act as the point of contact for the project
  • Use best practice risk management, assessing risks in an informed and considered manner and to plan for the mitigation of these risks

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience in application support, ideally within an ITIL framework
  • Experience of agile development/delivery teams and technical delivery management
  • Well-informed opinions and able to take people on a journey with your ideas, but open to being convinced otherwise through discussion and debates with your teammates
  • Collaborative personality with strong influence skills with people across different levels and backgrounds
  • Ability to present your vision to stakeholders and the team
  • Practical experience of working within an infrastructure and operations team
  • Experience in large scale infrastructure delivery; (involving mid-range servers, software and data migrations and Windows technology)
  • Strong leadership skills and be confident working with virtual teams. A track record of managing third parties and multi-vendor teams across multiple project activities
  • Excellent communication and relationship management capabilities
  • Understand core IT policies, standards and processes and their importance in delivering a good service to the business
  • Stakeholder management across the organisation and within a global function
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and an appreciation for data governance standards, controls and requirements and how they are factored into design activity
