Job description

Telent is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to join the Wireless Telecommunications team within the Networks Services division. This role involves working on Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs) of land, contributing to our offerings in Telecommunications and Utilities markets. The position offers a hybrid working model—remote and UK-wide office travel as needed. A full UK driving license is highly advantageous.

The Technical Delivery Manager will be responsible for securing Land Referencing work and ensuring high-quality service delivery to Telecoms and Utility clients, adhering to timelines and budgets.

What you'll do:
  • Support and lead business development opportunities.
  • Identify and secure new Utility projects.
  • Manage commercial and financial aspects of utility projects.
  • Develop and implement best practices for land assembly/referencing services.
  • Coordinate between clients, engineering, design, and field staff.
  • Participate in project and customer meetings.
  • Manage delivery actions arising from customer or third-party meetings.
  • Ensure technical excellence in land assembly, application documents, and related services.
  • Handle escalations per contractual procedures.
  • Track project progress, quality, and status across workstreams.
  • Implement quality assurance measures aligned with client needs.
  • Monitor QEHS and contractual performance.
  • Create project-specific QEHS documents.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and deliver technical training for utility-focused teams.
  • Provide technical expertise across utility programs.
  • Promote and grow Land Referencing services.
  • Support business development and new team training.
  • Assist delivery partners to meet project goals.
  • Escalate issues internally and to clients when necessary.
  • Drive innovation, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with processes, resource plans, budgets, and client requirements.
  • Manage scope changes according to company processes.
Who you are:

You are a proactive manager with experience in Land Referencing and CPOs, with a proven track record in winning contracts within Utilities or Telecommunications. You excel at coordinating diverse teams, managing stakeholders, and delivering high-quality projects. Your communication skills and customer focus enable effective leadership and continuous improvement. Attention to detail, commercial acumen, and relationship-building skills are essential.

Key requirements:
  • Experience with CPOs, DCOs, TWAOs, and Hybrid Bills.
