What this role is all about:

You will work on complex requirements from varying sources (Business, PMO, Technical), often supporting dependency and demand across a range of delivery teams. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities, ensuring standards within constraints of Time, Cost, and Quality are met. As a Technical Delivery Manager, your technical experience and leadership are key to managing interdependencies of project deliverables across multiple releases. You will have a good understanding of a typical change function and its role in Technology delivery, demonstrating experience and understanding of key stakeholders, including business, PMO, and Run functions.

Key Actions:

  • Ensure service providers and development/technology teams deliver on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Provide clear reporting and communication across stakeholders including Project Managers, Development Managers, IT leadership, and internal customers.
  • Represent IT technical solutions at project and steering committee boards, ensuring clarity of progress and proactively resolving risks and issues.
  • Manage multiple medium-complexity projects with cross-functional impact and multiple technical domains.
  • Work independently, with guidance only in complex situations.
  • Exhibit effective communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • Interpret internal or external issues and recommend solutions, solving complex problems with a broad perspective.

Essential Skills needed to fulfill this role:

  • Significant experience in a medium to large-sized IT department, with strong technical knowledge of IT functions, systems, applications, and processes, ideally with a background in these areas.
  • Project management qualifications or experience in environments using PRINCE2 Foundation, PMP, Agile, Scrum Master qualifications, etc.
  • Demonstrable experience in coaching and mentoring.
